The FIA is keen to forge a close partnership with F1s newest owners, Liberty Media, to take the sport to a whole new fanbase.On Wednesday evening Liberty Media announced it had agreed to purchase F1 parent company Delta Topco, placing Chase Carey as chairman alongside existing CEO and commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone. The FIA holds a one percent stake in F1 but also has to approve any sale of the sport as motorsports governing body.The FIA has said it awaits further information regarding the proposed terms of the transaction.
