AMES, Iowa -- Former Alabama head coach David Hobbs has been named a special assistant to Iowa State coach Steve Prohm, a former team manager under Hobbs with the Crimson Tide.Hobbs spent six seasons at Alabama, winning 110 games from 1992-98.
