The Goldeyes would proceed to load the bases with one out against Rodriguez and would come within one when Ramon scored on a RBI groundout. However, Fehlandt Lentini grounded out to end the game and the Goldeyes five-game winning streak. Pete Parise earned his eighth win of the year for Lincoln. He went six innings, allowing ten hits while striking out three. Rodriguez worked the wild ninth inning and got his 23rd save of the season. Justin Garcia gave up all seven of the Saltdogs runs in 5 2/3 innings of work for the loss. He gave up seven hits, all of which went for extra bases. The Goldeyes are still in a position to win their fifth straight series on Thursday when they wrap up an 11-game homestand against the Saltdogs.
