In 2006, Jun TY Tae Yang, formerly known as BaBy, became the youngest StarCraft: Brood War player to go pro. At the age of 15 and only three years into his professional career, he was hailed as a prodigy. During the early years of his debut, he had shown promise in both individual leagues and the Proleague, taking down impressive names (including high-profile players like Heo Jangbi Yeong Moo) despite his young age.In a poll conducted by OGN, coaches, players and pundits were asked which Terran rookie -- Park Mind Sung Gyoon, Lee Flash Young Ho or TY -- was likely to become a star. The majority chose Mind at 70 percent, TY garnered 17 percent of the votes and Flash was picked last.TY was a player with real potential with no weakness in any matchup. His style of aggressive multitask, mechanically heavy play was alluring and exciting. Add all of that to his young age with a decade more of play time and you could see why people hyped up TYs future. He had all the makings of a champion. And here we are, 10 years, one game and two expansions later, and TY has no title to show for it.His entire Brood War career amounted to one Round of 8 Korean OSL 2010. Going into StarCraft II, the story remained the same: He had no weak matchups. He was an exciting player and a great team player. But when it came to the individual leagues, hed always drop out again, and again and again. After playing SCII for two years, hed never gotten out of a group stage of a tournament in South Korea. The two international tournaments he attended didnt go much better. At DreamHack: Bucharest, he was one of the favorites but got upset by Jang MC Min Chul in the Round of 16. The same thing happened again at HomeStory Cup X, where he lost to Hwang Losira Kang Ho.In eight years of play, he had only two Ro8 appearances to show for it. For a worse player, perhaps this could be considered an OK result. For a player with his talent, skill, mechanics and potential, you cant help but look at this as a failure. This all finally changed in 2015.Its hard to say what changed about TY that year. Gameplay wise, it was the same. He was just more consistent at bringing it out, and he seemed to have a much better grasp of series play. It could have been the introduction of Ryu Won as coach of KT (multiple Global StarCraft II League champions have credited Ryu Won as having a large positive effect on their game).Whatever the case, TY broke the drought as he reached his second Ro8 placing in a South Korean tournament at GSL Season 1, five years after his OSL placing in 2010. By the end of the year, he reached the semifinals of StarCraft II StarLeague Season 3 and Intel Extreme Masters Shenzhen. And now, we get to 2016.This has been TYs best year of competitive play in the last decade. He has had the best results of any Terran player all year and has been widely considered either the best or second-best Terran playing in the world at any given moment. This was also the year of his first finals against teammate Joo Zest Sung Wook in the first season of GSL. And though he lost there, given the projection of his results and skill, it seemed inevitable that he would win at least one of the Star Leagues this year. And now is the time. There are four players who stand above the rest: Zest, TY, Park Dark Ryung Woo and Kim Stats Dae Yeob. Three have been eliminated. Now, theres no one left that should be able to stand between TY and the championship title he has been looking for all of this time. After 10 long years, this is the best chance TY will likely ever get to finally win a title. There are only two players left that have a shot at upsetting TY: Baek Dear Dong Jun, who has shown remarkable skill throughout 2016 and is set to play him in the Ro8, and Kim sOs Yoo Jin, who is on the other side of the bracket.Another exciting match is between sOs and Kim herO Joon Ho. This rivalry isnt traditional in any sense. Theyve only met a few times in Proleague and individual leagues, but the match between sOs and herO at the IEM World Championships in 2014 is one of the defining moments for both players. In that match, herO came in as the golden child of IEM. The triple IEM winner and the favorite to win the tournament. Everyones beloved champion. And then sOs proxy gated him. Twice. It was a no-holds-barred beatdown as sOs made herO look like a fool. It was doubly painful for herO, as it was a winner-take-all tournament and sOs left with the entire prize pool of $100,000 USD. It was even crueler as Protoss players across South Korea watched that finals and then went on to double proxy gate herO out of multiple significant matches the rest of his career. With so much history between them, that stands as the other must-watch match of the GSL Ro8. Mike Bibby Jersey . Kyle Denbrook, a soccer player from Saint Marys University, took the CIS male athlete of the week honour. Stanley, a fourth-year business administration student from Charlottetown, scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Dalhousie on Friday and tallied again in a 1-0 win over Saint Marys on Sunday. Kings Jerseys China .7 million, one-year contract, a raise of $2.2 million. Wieters had asked for $8.75 million and the Orioles had offered $6. https://www.cheapkingsbasketball.com/132b-arnie-risen-jersey-kings.html . -- Most satisfying to Russ Smith about No. Sacramento Kings Pro Shop . Burke is expected to miss two to three months after breaking a finger in the teams third preseason game. Tinsley, a 10-year veteran, spent the last two seasons in Utah, where the point guard averaged 3. Oscar Robertson Jersey . Speaking Thursday on TSN 1050 Thursday, the Leafs GM also touched on the questions surrounding the teams leadership and the struggles of his big-name free-agent signing. “Its not from lack of effort from the coaching staff. EAST LANSING, Mich. -- A funny thing nearly happened on the way to The Game weve all been waiting for. Both No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Michigan almost spit the bit. The Buckeyes had to intercept a two-point conversion try at Michigan State to escape with a 17-16 victory, while the Wolverines trailed Indiana into the third quarter before pulling away at home.Whew. What a downer it would have been if both teams had suffered their second losses of the season on the Saturday before their long-awaited showdown (ABC, noon ET). ESPNs planned five-hour College GameDay extravaganza from Columbus would have needed a sad trombone soundtrack. But both teams stayed alive in the College Football Playoff chase. It was survive and advance, Big Ten football style. And now we can finally look ahead to a potentially epic confrontation. Its going to be intense, Ohio State defensive end Jalyn Holmes said. The Game of the Century.Well, The Game of the Decade, perhaps. The 2006 meeting, when the Buckeyes and Wolverines were 1-2 in the rankings, will be hard to top. This years version also brings back memories of 1997, when both teams ranked in the top four, and a do-it-all defensive back (Charles Woodson) led Michigan to a national title en route to winning the Heisman Trophy. This will be the first time in a decade that Big Ten and national championship stakes ride on this rivalry. It feels like weve been headed for this since Jim Harbaugh was hired on Dec. 30, 2014. Two days later, Ohio State beat Alabama on its way to a national title. For all the hoopla and hard-earned success Harbaugh has already brought to Ann Arbor, he ultimately will be judged on whether he can beat Ohio State. His first time around didnt go so well, as the Buckeyes won 42-13 last year in the Big House. Michigan has lost 11 of the last 12 in this series. But Harbaugh has the maize and blue back on more equal footing with the Buckeyes. One of the best Big Ten parlor games this year has been comparing scores between the two superpowers. Michigan beat Wisconsin by seven at home. Ohio State needed overtime to beat Wisconsin by seven on the road. The Wolverines trounced Rutgers 78-0, one week after the Buckeyes stomped the Scarlet Knights 58-0. Ohio State hammered Maryland 62-3, exactly three points better than Michigans results against the same Terrapins a week earlier. Now these teams can finally measure up against each other. In the waning moments against Indiana, the Big House crowd starting chanting, Beat Ohio! (At least something remains from the Brady Hoke era.)Ohio State and Michigan, the greatest rivalry in sports, how can it not be in the back of your mind from right after the day you played last year? Michigan senior defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow said.dddddddddddd I wouldnt hesitate to say thats the biggest game we play in every year. Its awesome when [the Big Ten title and playoff] comes down to that. It puts a little oomph in it.Neither team aced the playoff eyeball test on Saturday while playing about 70 miles apart. But November weather emphatically arrived in the state of Michigan, bringing wet, blustery conditions best-suited for old-school football. In East Lansing, 30 mph wind gusts made bubble-screen lobs float like bubbles.Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer ran J.T. Barrett 24 times into the teeth of a defense that knew what was coming, while Ohio State mustered just 86 passing yards.Well lose next week if we play like that, Meyer said. The Buckeyes have had some passing game issues this season and must find ways to throw against the nations top pass defense, led by All-American cornerback Jourdan Lewis. Then again, Michigan must deal with an Ohio State defense that grabbed two more interceptions on Saturday (17 for the season) and another pick that didnt officially count, on Michigan States two-point try. The Wolverines may again be without injured quarterback Wilton Speight; John OKorn started against Indiana and struggled to connect with his receivers through snow flurries. There are plenty of compelling storylines to go around. The Big Tens most versatile offensive player (Ohio State H-back Curtis Samuel) goes against its most versatile all-around player (Michigans do-everything LB?Jabrill Peppers, who modeled his game on Woodson). OSU redshirt freshman RB?Mike Weber, whose recruiting battle between the teams sparked Harbaughs infamous tangled web we weave tweet, makes his debut in the rivalry. The Big Tens East Division could be decided on the field, or both teams could stay home and watch Penn State go to Indianapolis.Add it all up, and the usual craziness that already is Michigan-Ohio State week will be ratcheted up to an 11 out of 10.Ive never been in a top-five Michigan game, Holmes said. But we could either both be in the top five or we could both be 0-11. Its still going to be intense.Saturdays struggles will be relegated to a mere footnote if Michigan and Ohio State stage a thriller next week in the Horseshoe. The Game weve all been waiting for is almost here. Its officially rivalry week, Meyer said. Our eyes are forward, and lets go. ' ' '
