Submit your suggestions here.The Marlins have had their Triple-A squad in New Orleans since the 2009 season. They were known as the Zephyrs for most of that time, then rebranded as the Baby Cakes in 2017. Apparently, neither of those are “midwesty” enough, so they’re starting fresh.The city of Wichita is publicly funding construction of a downtown, state-of-the-art “baseball village.” Although the relocation adds mileage to the commute for Marlins players being recalled or sent down, it significantly helps with the travel between other Pacific Coast League cities.Some team names that received support within our Fish Stripes Slack channel include Cattle, Flying Cows Jose Cruz Jr. Jersey , SkyCows and Twisters.
