Rio 2016s organising committee has confirmed that its appeal against an injunction blocking the release of public funding to pay for the Paralympic Games has been successful.Last week judge Marcia Maria Nunes granted a request by prosecutors to halt the transfer of any further state aid to Rio 2016s organising committee until it opened up its accounts to public scrutiny.This meant that ￡36 million from Rio city mayor Eduardo Paes and ￡29m in federal funding -- intended to fill the hole in Rio 2016s budget -- was held up.Rio 2016s lawyers lodged an appeal against this injunction on Monday and federal judge Guilherme Couto de Castro has now agreed that halting this money jeopardises the Paralympics, which would be a major embarrassment to Brazil.The ruling, however, does not affect the earlier request for Rio 2016s organisers to fully disclose their financial position, which could be equally embarrassing.Recent weeks have been dominated by reports of financial problems and cutbacks, with International Paralympic Committee president Sir Philip Craven describing the situation as precarious.The organisers are already nearly three weeks late in paying travel grants to national Paralympic committees, which could mean some of the poorer nations do not send teams at all.It was also revealed on Wednesday that only 12 percent of the available tickets for the Games, which start on September 7, have been sold -- an alarming figure considering how poor the actual attendances have been at the Olympics where nearly 90 per cent of the tickets have apparently been sold. "And its just about getting the timing," Nelsen said. "An ACL injury, hes been away for close to a year now, so its not just going to fall into place just like that. "I wish I was in there, because Ive missed a lot of months. The frustrating part is just to start, but when everything gets stronger, and gets better, thats the fun part, because you get to touch the ball again, run again, get some goals again. Thats the best part of it, and its only waiting for the comeback. "Maybe we could just sign (Nelsen), I think hes still fit," Koevermans added, laughing. Nelsen said he struggled in those games against Koevermans. "I was blowing a gasket even when I was marking (retired defender) Jimmy Brennan, let alone a player of Danny Koevermans class," Nelsen joked. Toronto -- 2-7-5 and ninth in the Eastern Conference -- faces a tough test at Houston. The Dynamo is 6-5-4 and fourth in the East and until a loss last month against Kansas City had gone a whopping 36 straight games at home without a loss.
